In 2007, AS/COA hosted  Latin American Cities Conferences in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Uruguay.

2008 President of the Americas Report (PDF).
During the week of the United Nations General Assembly, Americas Society and Council of the Americas hosted private and public programs with the presidents of Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, El Salvador, Panama, and Paraguay.

In the first half of 2008, AS/COA hosted hosted an exciting line-up of programs with public and private sector leaders, published new reports and journals, and highlighted Canadian artists through our cultural offerings.

2008 Washington Conference on the Americas (PDF).
The 38th Annual Washington Conference on the Americas drew together a daylong session of discussions at the U.S. State Department, the presidents of the United States and Panama, as well as several cabinet.
